Opening ceremonies held for People’s Military Service Training 14

TO enable citizens to serve in the defence and security of the nation, eligible and patriotic individuals selected for the People’s Military Service Training 14 have arrived at the respective training depots located within the military commands to undertake the necessary preparations.

Yesterday morning, opening ceremonies for the training course were held at the various training depots. At each ceremony, the commandants of training depots delivered opening speeches.

Chief ministers of regions and states, commanders, and relevant officials attended the ceremonies, met with the trainees of the People’s Military Service Training 14, and presented them with cash awards, food items, and essential supplies. They also greeted and encouraged the trainees.

As every citizen must safeguard ‘Our three main national causes’ — Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national unity, and perpetuation of sovereignty, military training is provided to enable citizens to fulfil these responsibilities and to serve in the defence of the State.

To this end, the People’s Military Service Law was enacted on 10 February 2024, and training courses have since been conducted. Those who have completed these courses are now dutifully fulfilling their responsibilities in defence and security across their assigned regiments and units. — MNA/ MKKS
