Rehab efforts beefed up in quake-stricken areas




MEMBERS from various or­ganizations joining hands with residents actively participated in the rehabilitation operations in the Mandalay earthquake-af­fected areas.


Lt-Gen Thet Pon from the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief (Army) inspected the collective cleanliness ac­tivities in religious sites and wards using heavy machinery in Sagaing town.


He also observed the healthcare services of Tatmad­aw mobile medical teams for quake-affected monks, nuns and people, water purifying processes using Tatmadaw water purification trucks and water distribution processes for locals.


Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung and Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief (Army) and Com­mander of Central Command Brig-Gen Kyaw Ko Htaik in­spected the progress of reha­bilitation measures, cleanliness activities in religious sites and wards.


Since 30 March 2025, de­bris removal operations have been carried out at Sky Villa, which was damaged by the earthquake. During the clear­ing process, cash amounting to K916,744,700, four visses and one tical of gold, gold jewellery, and other precious ornaments were discovered and have been systematically returned to their rightful owners. — MNA/KTZH
