Over 800 Saplings Planted in Monghpyak Township

As part of the 2025
Monsoon Tree Planting Campaign, the Township Forestry Department of Monghpyak
Township, Tachileik District, Eastern Shan State, organized a tree planting
event aimed at promoting environmental greening. The event took place on the
morning of 20 June at the Sub-B.E.M.S. 221 School compound.
The ceremony began with
the presentation of saplings by local battalion officials, Township
Administration Body Chairman U Hla Myo, and Township Forestry Department Chief
U Myint Htay to representatives from government departments, social organizations,
and local teachers.
Afterward,
officials—including representatives from the local battalion, the Township
Administration Body, departmental staff, and members of social
organizations—collectively planted a total of 810 saplings. These included 150
teak, 200 manjangsha, 150 mezali, 30 kheye, 80 ngusap, 50 seinpanni, 130
panmaezali, and 20 kankaw trees.
After the planting
activity, attendees gathered for a group photo to commemorate the event.— Shwe
