Cash Assistance Provided to Tornado Victims in Dedaye Township

Relief materials and financial assistance were provided today to families affected by the tornado that struck Toe Village in Dedaye Township, Pyapon District, Ayeyarwady Region on 7 July 2025.

The distribution ceremony was held at 1:00 p.m. at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department. U Mya Thein Maung, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, addressed the gathering and outlined the ongoing efforts to support those impacted by the disaster.

Following the remarks, U Mya Thein Maung, together with Deputy Staff Officer U Min Man Kha from the Pyapon District Disaster Management Department and representatives from local social organizations, presented a total of Ks 3.57 million to 173 tornado victims from 38 affected households in Toe Village. The funds are intended to assist with housing reconstruction and essential food supplies.— Azar Lin
