MIFER Union Minister receives Chinese delegation led by CIDCA Chairman

UNION Minister for Invest­ment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw received a delegation led by Mr Chen Xiaodong, Chairman of the China International Devel­opment Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), yesterday afternoon at the Parkroyal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

Both sides exchanged views in a warm and friendly manner on a range of matters pertaining to China’s prompt humanitarian assistance and support provided in re­sponse to the recent devastat­ing earthquake in Myanmar, post-earthquake recovery and rehabilitation projects, efforts to enhance socioeconomic development cooperation be­tween the two countries, and plans for bilateral collabora­tion.

 

The meeting was attend­ed by the deputy minister for Investment and Foreign Eco­nomic Relations, the direc­tor-general of the Foreign Eco­nomic Relations Department, and other senior officials of the ministry from the Myanmar side and the directors-general of CIDCA’s Regional Affairs Department and Internation­al Cooperation Department, other CIDCA representatives, and officials from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar attend­ed from the Chinese side. — MIFER
