Border and Ethnic Affairs Minister inspects Union National Races Village (Yangon)
UNION Minister for Border Affairs and
for Ethnic Affairs Lt- Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by the deputy minister for
ethnic affairs, regional ministers for security and border affairs and ethnic
affairs, met the staff of the affiliated departments at the meeting hall of
Union National Races Village (Yangon) yesterday.
During the meeting, the Union minister
mentioned that all should perform the primary responsibility of the ministry
to ensure the rights of the ethnic people as per the existing laws, and the
department must provide all possible support to ethnic MSMEs. In the education
sector, efforts must be made to help ethnic children overcome language
barriers so that school dropout rates decrease. The projects to be implemented
at the Union National Races Village (Yangon) in the 2025-2026 financial year
must be carried out following the budget rules and standards, and completed in
time.
The deputy minister reported on projects
with K20 million capital of the Union National Races Village (Yangon) and over
K20 million worth of tender, income and regular work operations of the site.
The Union minister handed over 58 solar
panels to install them at the designated sites to the relevant officials. —
