MIFER Union Minister receives UNDCO’s Asia- Pacific Regional Director

UNION Minister for Invest­ment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Wah Wah Maung received a delegation led by Mr David William Mclachlan-Karr, Regional Director for Asia and Pacific of the UN Development Coordination Office (UNDCO), yesterday afternoon at Office 1 of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Rela­tions.

 

They exchanged views and discussed closer cooperation between UNCT and relevant ministries for efficient and ef­fective implementation of UN agencies' work plans, consider­ation of the government’s pri­orities on earthquake response plans to link with existing work plans and projects of UN agen­cies, and how to ensure more effective aid.

 

The meeting was also at­tended by the director-general of the Union Minister's Office, the director-general of the For­eign Economic Relations De­partment, senior officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, and Mr Michael Dunford, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator. — MIFER
