Mon State Chief Minister Attends 2025 Outstanding Students Award Ceremony in Mudon

A ceremony to honor top performers in the 2025
Matriculation Examination was held yesterday at Shwe Hin Tha Hall in Mudon
Township, Mon State. State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, along with state
ministers and officials, attended the event.
The ceremony opened with a student performance, followed
by the Chief Minister’s speech, where he emphasized the importance of collaboration
among parents, teachers, and communities in nurturing future scholars and
professionals.
Township Education Officer U Than Tun Htay presented an
overview of the 2025 exam results. Awards were then presented to outstanding
students: three with six distinctions, nine with five, 11 with four, 19 with
three, 44 with two, and 70 with one distinction. Eleven high-performing schools
and donors were also recognized.
Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials
participated in the 46th Mudon-wide Alms Offering Ceremony, presenting alms and
offerings to 5,047 monks and nuns from 99 monasteries and nunneries.— Ramanya
