MoSYA Deputy Minister attends 2025 World Youth Festival in Russia




THE Myanmar youth delegation, led by Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Zin Min Htet, who is also chairman of the My­anmar Youth Affairs Working Committee, attended the 2025 World Youth Festival Assembly held in Nizhny Novgorod from 17 to 21 September.


On 17 September, the deputy minister and party attended the opening ceremony and greet­ed the youths from around the world. On 18 September, they observed the activities of glob­al youths in media, industrial, public administrative, education and science, entrepreneurship, sports and information.


The deputy minister and Russian officials attended the youths’ dialogue held at Nizhny Novgorod Fair, and discussed the matters related to collab­orating of international youth organizations, governmental de­partments and private organiza­tions to create opportunities for Myanmar youth to participate in ASEAN and international youth programmes, competitions, and dialogues, youth dialogues and social volunteer service pro­grammes aiming at enhancing the capacity of young people and fostering personal thinking skills, quality education system, job opportunities, healthcare service, sports and recreation, social welfare activities, global citizen, gender equality and hu­man rights.


Over 2,000 youth delegates from 120 countries attended the event.


On 19 September, the deputy minister met Egor Litvinenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and discussed all-around develop­ment programmes for the youths of Myanmar. — MNA/KTZH
