Myanmar, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to promote trade and investment



PRIME Minister U Nyo Saw, who is currently in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Invest­ment Summit, received Mr Chen Gang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at Liyuan State Guesthouse in Nanning yesterday evening.

 

They exchanged views on further promotion of trade and investment between Myanmar and Guangxi Zhuang Autono­mous Region, distribution of advanced technologies in ag­riculture sector, cooperation in tourism sector, and establish­ment of friendship relations between sister cities in order to widely cooperate in various sectors between the two cities and the two countries.

 

Also, present at the meet­ing were Union Ministers Dr Charlie Than, U Chit Swe and Dr Thet Khaing Win, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint, Myanmar Ambas­sador to the People’s Republic of China U Tin Maung Swe, and the Myanmar Consul-Gener­al in Nanning. The Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was accompanied by Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Mr Wei Tao, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia and officials.

 

In the evening, the Secre­tary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autono­mous Region hosted a dinner in honour of the Prime Minis­ter and party at Chinese Hibis­cus Hall of Liyuan State Guest­house in Nanning.—MNA/TTA
