Paddy cultivation in Myothit Tsp. exceeds target

            Monsoon paddy cultivation in Myothit Township, Magway Region, has exceeded its target for the 2025-2026 FY.

It is estimated to cultivate 64,126 acres of monsoon paddy in the township this fiscal year. Now, a total of 64,201 acres of monsoon paddy have been planted, exceeding its target, according to the Township Department of Agriculture. The Township Department of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management supplies water from Natmauk, Palin, Swun and Sadan Dams to paddy fields in the township.

In the township, officials from the Township Department of Agriculture are conducting awareness campaign for selecting high-quality paddy seeds suitable for monsoon season, adopting good agricultural practices, utilizing the correct ratios of soil and fertilizer and providing necessary techniques.
