Rain-fed Corn Harvested in Mongnai Township, Yielding 130 Baskets per Acre

Harvesting of rain-fed corn was
conducted yesterday afternoon on the farmland of U Sai Kyaw Myint in Naungkham
Village, Mongnai Township, Shan State (South).
Officials from the Township
General Administration Department, the Department of Agriculture, and the Land
Records Department took part in the activity. A sample harvest was carried out
on 0.10 acres of cornfield, which yielded an average of 130 baskets per acre.
According to an official from the
Township Department of Agriculture, a total of 27,810 acres of corn were
cultivated during this rainy season in Mongnai Township, including areas in
