Royal Thai Air Force Chief-led delegation arrives in Myanmar
AT the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief
(Air) General Tun Aung, a delegation led by Thai Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee
Pattanakul and wife arrived in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning on an official
goodwill visit to launch bilateral engagement activities between two air
forces, and high-ranking officers from Tatmadaw (Air), the Thai military attaché to Myanmar, and
officials welcomed them at Nay Pyi Taw airport.
Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung then
had a discussion with the goodwill delegation led by Air Chief Marshal of the
Royal Thai Air Force at the Jasmine Hotel. The Commander-in-Chief (Air)
presented a Buddha statue, relics of Arhats and a replica of the Maravijaya
Buddha Image to enshrine in the Phra Mahathat Naphamethinidon Naphabhumisiri
Pagoda being constructed by the Royal Thai Air Force in Chiang Mai, Thailand,
to the Air Chief. The Thai Air Chief presented a Buddha statue as a Dhamma donation,
and they all had documentary photos taken.
The Commander-in-Chief (Air) and his wife
hosted lunch for the delegation led by the Air Chief Marshal of the Royal Thai
Air Force and his wife, and exchanged gifts.
The delegation left for Yangon in the
afternoon and visited the Botahtaung Pagoda. — MNA/KTZH
