Safe Food from Safe Farm Market reopens in Yangon after five-year closure
THE Safe Food from Safe Farm Market,
which was suspended during the COVID-19 period, has now been reopened at Myaypadethakyun
in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, according to the Myanmar Fruit, Flower, and
Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP).
The market, organized by the MFVP,
resumed operations on 13 September and will be open every Saturday and Sunday.
At the Safe Food from Safe Farm Market,
a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and products grown through organic
and good agricultural practice-GAP natural methods will be available.
Customers will also be able to purchase organic rice, eggs, vegetables,
mushrooms, avocados, dragon fruit, passion fruit, bananas, pineapples, coconuts,
coffee, tea, macadamia nuts, jams, wines, and more.— ASH/KNN
