Union Defence Minister visits military technology companies in Beijing

MEMBER of the State Security and Peace Commission and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye attended the 3rd and 4th plenary sessions of the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum held on 19 September in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

 

On 18 and 19 September afternoons, the Union minister and delegation visited advanced military technology companies based in Beijing. They observed unmanned aerial vehicle production, aviation technology equipment, electronic warfare systems, and air defence technology weapons. The delegation also discussed potential areas of technical cooperation with company officials.

 

On the morning of 20 September, the Union minister and delegation met staff and families of the Myanmar Embassy and the Myanmar military attachés (Army, Navy, Air) office, as well as students attending training in Beijing, at the Myanmar Embassy. The Union minister explained the current situation of national development and presented gifts.

 

In the evening, the Union Minister and delegation returned to Yangon by air from Beijing. — MNA/KZL
