Cervical Cancer and Diphtheria Vaccination Campaign Held in Mongnai Township

A vaccination campaign against cervical cancer and diphtheria (DT) was conducted this morning at Basic Education High School in Garden Ward, Mongnai Township, Shan State (South).

Under the supervision of Dr. Yin Mi Han from the Township Public Health Department, a medical team administered the second dose of the diphtheria vaccine to 99 students aged five to below seven from basic education schools across the township. Additionally, 50 schoolgirls aged nine to below ten received the HPV vaccine as part of the national routine immunization program.

Headmistress Daw Nan Eih Eih San, along with teachers, members of the Maternal and Child Welfare Association, and the Women’s Affairs Federation, provided assistance to the healthcare team during the event.— Myo Nyunt Shwe (Mongnai)
