Pyapon Township Launches 100-Acre Coffee Plantation Project

A coffee planting initiative aimed at boosting family incomes and crop yields was launched this morning at the farm of U Myo Myint in Mae Nyo Village, Pyapon Township, Ayeyarwady Region.
The event included the distribution and collective planting of coffee seedlings, with participation of U Maung Maung Win, Chairman of the Pyapon Township Management and Administration Committee, officials from the Township Agriculture Department, and local farmers. Staff Officer Daw Ommar Aye also delivered a talk on proper cultivation and care of coffee plants.
As part of the plan, 100 acres of coffee will be cultivated across 21 village tracts, with 43,500 seedlings already distributed, according to the Township Agriculture Department.— Aung Win Naing (District IPRD)
