Fish Stocking Ceremony Held in Panlaung River

To promote fish food security and restore natural fish species, the Kume Fisheries Department organized a fish planting ceremony in the Panlaung River near the station Ward in Myittha Township, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, at 7 a.m. today.

The event was attended by officials from the District Fisheries Department, Township Administration Committee, and relevant departments, along with members of the Myittha Township Women’s Affairs Federation.

A total of 250,000 rohu fingerlings were released into the Panlaung River as part of the 2025–2026 fiscal year target, aimed at improving rural livelihoods and ensuring sustainable use of natural water resources.— Win Min Htun (IPRD)
