24th ASEAN Banking Conference, 53rd Council Meeting conclude successfully in Yangon

The 24th ASEAN Banking Conference
and the 53rd ASEAN Banking Council Meeting, jointly organized by the Myanmar
Banks Association and the ASEAN Bankers Association, were held at the Novotel
Yangon Max Hotel in Yangon from 19 to 21 November.
The 53rd ASEAN Banking Council
Meeting continued yesterday morning with a total of 130 representatives from
ASEAN banking associations.
The meeting approved the
resolutions of the 52nd ASEAN Banking Council Meeting of the ASEAN Bankers
Association, as well as the reports from the meetings of the three committees —
namely, the Committee on Cooperation in Finance, Investment, Trade and
Technology (COFITT), the ASEAN Inter-Regional Relations Committee (ASEAN IRR),
and the Banking Education Committee — which were held on 20 November.
The rotating chairmanship of the
ASEAN Bankers Association was then transferred from the Philippine Banks
Association to the Singapore Banks Association. Meanwhile, the President of the
Philippine Banks Association announced the date and venue of the 54th ASEAN
Banking Council Meeting: it will be held in Manila, the Philippines, in
November 2026.
The meeting concluded
successfully after the President of the ASEAN Bankers Association delivered the
