Myanmar eyes closer ASEAN-Korea strategic collaboration

Myanmar will enhance cooperation for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea, said U Myo Myint Maung, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim/Ambassador of the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul.

 

Ambassador U Myo Myint Maung made the statement during a courtesy call on Ambassador Kim Jae-shin, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), on 19 November.

 

During the meeting, the Myanmar ambassador expressed his great pleasure and congratulations on the successful organization of numerous events related to ASEAN Week by the AKC in November.

 

Charge d’Affaires ad interim/Ambassador U Myo Myint Maung also paid introductory visits to Ambassador Wong Kai Jiun of Singapore and Ambassador Pg Hij Nooriyah of Brunei on 19 November, and to Ambassador Khuon Phonrattanak of Cambodia on 20 November, at their respective embassies in Seoul. During these meetings, the Myanmar ambassador exchanged views with his counterparts on further promoting the friendly bilateral relations between their respective countries. — Htun Htun/ZN
