CBM Governor receives Thai business delegation

Central Bank of Myanmar Governor Daw Than Than Swe received the Thai business delegation comprising officials of the Thai Embassy and members of the Thai Business Association of Myanmar, led by the Thai Economic Counsellor in Yangon, yesterday.

 

During the meeting, the Thai business leaders discussed matters related to the applications for import licences, payment method in Thai baht, the use of Thai baht in the investment sector and foreign exchange according to the current operations in Myanmar regarding trading and investment.

 

The governor discussed the ongoing work plans regarding the foreign currency, requirements for cooperation between the banks of the two countries, future work plans, situation of foreign currency trading based on market conditions of the foreign exchange trading platform, bilateral trade using the currencies of the two countries and bilateral cooperation in the financial sector. — MNA/KTZH
