China-Myanmar cooperation prospects discussed under 15th Five-Year Plan

THE discussion on the “15th Five-Year Plan and Opportuni­ties for Myanmar-China Coop­eration in the Next Five Years” was held on 26 November at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (My­anmar-ISIS) office in Dagon Township, Yangon Region.

The event, jointly organ­ized by the Myanmar-ISIS and the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), was attended by officials from the Chinese Embassy in Myan­mar, officials from the Myan­mar-ISIS, scholars, representa­tives from social organizations, members of the media from both Myanmar and China, and representatives from business organizations from both coun­tries.

Participants in the discus­sion independently explored new opportunities for Myan­mar–China cooperation over the next five years based on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. — ASH/TH
