Holidaymakers begin planning for Dec break
FOR the coming Kayin New Year Day and
December holiday, local visitors have made preparations for their planned trips
by connecting with car rental services as well as by the management of travel
companies.
Those who have planned to take a
pilgrimage tour or vacation during the December holidays said they have now
started making preparations.
“Our family has hired a car to visit
Kyaiktiyo and Bago on Kayin New Year's Day. We have a three-day holiday, so it
is convenient for travelling. Some people have planned to go visit Bagan,”
said a woman.
Some people have made preparations for
going on vacation in Bagan-NyaungU-Popa, PyinOoLwin, Taunggyi, Kalaw, Pindaya,
Inlay, Hpa-an, Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Bago and Zalun as well as resorts near
Yangon, during the December holidays.
As of Thadingyut, the visitor arrivals
to Bagan have been large, visibly on public holidays and weekends, and they haven’t
stopped even on weekdays, sources from Bagan.
Likewise, there is the arrival of
foreign tourists, and the majority are from Russia, China, South Korea, Japan,
Germany and Malaysia. — MT/ZS
