UNDP Myanmar to fund quake-hit SMEs in Mandalay and Sagaing
ACCORDING to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Myanmar), financial assistance will be provided to earthquake-affected small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Mandalay Region and Sagaing Region.
Under this programme, SMEs affected by the Mandalay earthquake in the two regions will receive financial support ranging from K4 million to K10 million, and applications for this assistance are now open.
In the first phase, 200 small and medium-sized enterprises in the earthquake-affected area of Sagaing Region will be supported. Both formally registered businesses (formal SMEs) and newly established enterprises that have been operating for less than one year are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to enterprises that are owned or led by women.
Applicants may submit their applications to UNDP Myanmar by 5 December 2025 at the latest. — ASH/MKKS
