Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation receives training support ahead of 33rd SEA Games



A ceremony to donate training equipment and funds to the My­anmar Traditional Lethwei Fed­eration for athletes preparing to compete in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games was held yester­day morning at the Theinbyu Traditional Lethwei Hall meet­ing room in Mingala Taungnyut Township, Yangon.

 

At the ceremony, U Wunna, central executive member of the Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation and chairman of the Myanmar Muay Thai Federa­tion, expressed gratitude, and an official from IMAKI Compa­ny explained the purpose of the donation. Following this, IMAKI Company presented Lethwei training support equipment, and Ko Min Thu (real estate agent) and his associates contributed K5 million in cash. The dona­tions were received by U Wunna, chairman of the Myanmar Muay Thai Federation, and U Kyaw Zin Oo, Chief Executive Officer of the Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation, who also presented certificates of appreciation in recognition of the contributions.

 

In the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, Myanmar will be rep­resented in kickboxing by five male and three female athletes, and in Muay by nine male and four female athletes, compet­ing across all weight categories from 45 kilogrammes to 75 kilo­grammes in both sports. — Bala/ MKKS
