State Economic Development Fund Management Committee Coordination Meeting 3/2025 held

THE State Economic Develop­ment Fund Management Com­mittee Coordination Meeting 3/2025 was held yesterday morning at the Internal Rev­enue Department, Office 46 in Nay Pyi Taw and attended by Committee Chairman Un­ion Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr Kan Zaw, Com­mittee Members Union Minis­ter for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Coopera­tives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe, Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue Daw Than Than Lin, permanent secretaries and heads of de­partments.

 

Committee Chairman Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw first highlighted that the State Economic Development Fund has been distributing conces­sional loans to the Ministry of Finance and Revenue, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 14 region/state governments, and six self-administered regions from 1 September 2022 to 10 December 2025.

 

He also mentioned the loan provision for agricultural cultivation, livestock breeding and agricultural machines like the drum seeder in the specific regions.

 

Then, Union ministers, the deputy minister, and senior officials discussed the provi­sion of the loan for agricul­ture and livestock breeding projects in the respective min­istries, states and regions.

 

Afterwards, the Secretary of the State Economic Devel­opment Fund Management Committee explained the status of the implementation of the decisions of its 2/2025 Meeting.

 

The committee has been providing concession loans under the State Economic Development Fund for the implementation of develop­ment projects in line with the four objectives of the National Defence and Security Council to improve the socioeconomic lives of the people. — MoFR
