Fire Breaks Out in Pyigyidagun Township
Pyigyidagun, March 19
A fire broke out at around 6:00 a.m. today in Ward (A), at the corner of 113th Street and 72(A) Street in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay Region. The blaze was caused by an overheated power socket on the ground floor of a residential building.
A total of 18 firefighters and 35 auxiliary firefighters, along with eight fire engines and two water tankers, were dispatched to the scene. The response included three fire engines from the Township Fire Station, and one each from the Chanmyathazi, Yadanar, Tagundaing, Kahagyi, and Salone auxiliary fire stations. Additional water tankers were sent from the Lawkapa La and Kagyi auxiliary fire stations.
The fire was brought under control at 6:59 a.m. and completely extinguished at 7:03 a.m. According to the Township Fire Services Department, legal action has been taken against the person responsible for negligence at the Township Police Station.— Zin Min Maung (District IPRD)
