Myanmar’s first club sepak takraw league set for Yangon

THE inaugural Myanmar Club Sepak Takraw League will be held at the Thuwunna Sepak Takraw Indoor Stadium in Yan­gon from 14 March to 5 April.

Myanmar will host the first Myanmar Club Sepak Takraw League (MSL) from 14 March to 5 April at the Thuwunna Sepak Takraw Indoor Stadium in Yangon.

Organized by the Myan­mar Sepak Takraw Federation with support from Shwe Than Lwin Media, the league will feature 10 men’s teams and five women’s teams competing in the men’s Quadrant, men’s Regu, and women’s Regu events.

Cash prizes will range from K2 million to K10 million, depending on the event. In the men’s Quadrant category, the first prize will be K10 million, while second and third prizes will be K8 million and K4 mil­lion, respectively.

A total of 100 matches will be played and broadcast live on SkyNet Sports 3, Channel 9, and SkyNet’s digital platforms. Spectators will also be able to watch the matches free of charge at the venue. — ASH/ KZL
