New School Building Opened in Kyaunggon Township to Mark 81st Armed Forces Day



Kyaunggon, March 19

In commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, the opening ceremony of a new two-storey school building was held at approximately 10:30 a.m. today in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister of the Ayeyarwady Region Government U Tin Maung Win, Regional Minister for Natural Resources U Ohn Myint, Minister for Social Affairs U Khin Maung Kyi, Minister for Transport U Aung San Chit, and Regional Education Officer U Naing Win Aung. The officials formally inaugurated the building by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and sprinkling scented water on the school signboard.

Following the ceremony, the newly constructed school building was formally handed over by Myanandaw Win Company to the responsible authorities and received by Daw Hla Hla Maw, the Principal of the school.

The two-storey Reinforced Cement Concrete building measures 110 feet in length and 30 feet in width. It was constructed by Myanandaw Win Company with a total budget of K 559.092 million for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.— Win Kyaing (IPRD)
