Practical Firefighting Demonstration Held in Mauk Mai Township

As the dry season has arrived in Mauk Mai Township, Shan State (South), a fire prevention awareness campaign was conducted at 8:00 a.m. today in and around the township market to educate vendors and shoppers on fire prevention and firefighting methods in case of emergencies.

The event was attended by U Min Thet Naing, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, members of the township administration, representatives from social organizations, and Township Fire Chief U Than Lin Aung.

During the event, Fire Chief U Than Lin Aung delivered a lecture on fire prevention, explained how to use a DCP fire extinguisher, and shared guidance on what actions to take in the event of a fire. Informational pamphlets on fire were also distributed.

Following the lecture, firefighters demonstrated practical firefighting techniques, while officials continued sharing fire safety information and prevention methods with vendors and shoppers at the market.— Sai Myo Thant (Mauk Mae)
