Shan United clinches 7th MNL title, extends undefeated streak
SHAN United secured the 2025-2026 Myanmar National League (MNL) championship with a 1-0 win over Hanthawady United in the final round on 18 March. Yangon United also won 4-0 against Dagon Star United, leaving Shan United one point clear to retain the title.
This marks Shan United’s seventh MNL championship (2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024-25, 2025-26) and their record sixth consecutive undefeated season – a historic first in league history.
Shan United finished the season with 18 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses, and 58 points, followed by Yangon United with 57 points and Dagon Star United with 39. Awards for top scorer and other honours were presented by the Shan State government and Myanmar Football Federation officials. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
