Commission Vice-Chairman and Defence Services Deputy Commander-in-Chief
Vice-Senior General Soe Win hosted a tea party for one Independence Mawgun
Second Class Award winner and two Third Class Award winners, totalling three,
who would attend the military parade to mark the 81st Anniversary of Armed
Forces Day, at the Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The SSPC Vice-Chairman
Vice-Senior General, Commission Secretary Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Ye
Win Oo, Commission Member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air)
General Kyaw Swa Lin, and senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the
Commander-in-Chief asked about the health conditions of Independence Mawgun
award winners and fulfilled their requirements.
The Vice-Senior General handed
over K5 million each and fortified bird’s nests presented by the Chairman of
the State Security and Peace Commission and Commander-in-Chief of Defence
Services to them.
The Vice-Senior General and party
had tea and foodstuffs together with the Independence Mawgun award winners.
Independence Mawgun Second Class
Award winner U Kyaw Sein, aged 101, Third Class Award winner U Nyan Aye, aged
102, and Third Class Award winner U Aye Thein, aged 98, are in good health
conditions, and they arrived here to attend the military parade to mark the
81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day 2026. They recounted their experiences in fighting
fascist Japanese, fostering the patriotic spirit. — MNA/TTA
