Wrestling Coaching and Refereeing Course opens in Yangon
THE opening ceremony for the Wrestling Coaching and Refereeing Course (Level 1) was held yesterday morning in the Old Office Hall of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) in Tamway Township. The programme is organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Physical Education and the Myanmar Wrestling Federation (MWF).
The ceremony was attended by MWF Vice-President Dr Aung Kyaw San, Vice-Chairman U Naing Myint Oo of the Yangon Region Wrestling Subcommittee, deputy directors from the Department of Sports and Physical Education, MWF coach Mr Mahabir Prasad, course instructors, and trainees.
The course is being attended by 30 participants, including former regional and state-level wrestling and judo athletes, members of the Myanmar national wrestling team, and individuals aged between 20 and 45. The group also includes high school students from various regions and states, as well as students from the Institutes of Sports and Physical Education and the MWF. The programme, which runs from 9 to 13 March, will consist of both theoretical and practical examinations. — Bala/MKKS
