5 injured in pharmaceutical plant explosion in Japan's Hiroshima

Five people were injured after a storage tank exploded at a pharmaceutical plant in Japan's Hiroshima Prefecture on Tuesday, local media reported.

Of the five injured, two were seriously hurt, and all were taken to the hospital, according to Kyodo News.

The report said local emergency services received a call reporting the explosion in Miyoshi City at around 11:35 a.m. local time. Firefighters were still working to extinguish the blaze, and police have launched an investigation into the cause.
