6 dead as car falls into deep gorge in N. India

At least six people died, and four others were seriously injured when the car they were traveling in fell into a deep gorge in India's northern hilly state of Himachal Pradesh on Monday, local police said.

The mishap was reported from the Chamba area of Himachal Pradesh. All the victims hailed from the western state of Gujarat and were on a vacation trip to the state.

The local police said the injured are in stable condition.
