Farmers in Thayet Chaung Receive Cultivation Loans for Monsoon Season
Thayet Chaung, May 26
The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank in Thayet Chaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, began disbursing cultivation loans for the 2026 monsoon season today.
Before the loan distribution, Township MADB Manager Daw Kyaw Kyaw Moe and ward/village administrators explained the loan rules and regulations to farmers.
The loans are being provided to farmers who have fully repaid last year’s loans. In Kyauk Myaung Ward, 35 farmers received K62.7 million for 209 acres of paddy cultivation at a rate of K300,000 per acre. In Pan Taw Ward, 29 farmers received K54 million for 180 acres at the same rate.— Pyay Phyo Paing (IPRD)
