Fire Breaks Out at Two Shops in Thanbyuzayat Township



Thanbyuzayat, May 5

A fire broke out early this morning at a shop selling car and motorcycle stickers in Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, at around 5:35 am

The Township Police Chief, Police Major Moe Myint, along with police officers, Township Fire Chief U Aung Kyaw Htwe and fire personnel, as well as the district administrator and local residents, rushed to the scene with two fire engines and one water tanker to extinguish the blaze.

The fire was brought under control at approximately 5:40 am. Two shops, each measuring about 10 feet in length, 6 feet in width, and 7 feet in height, were destroyed in the incident. The estimated loss is about K350,000.

According to initial reports, the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the car and motorcycle sticker shop operated by Kaung Myat Thu. No injuries to people or animals were reported.—Township IPRD
