Frontline troops welcomed back after security duties
FRONTLINE Tatmadaw personnel who returned after carrying out security duties and military activities in the Phalu and Minletpan areas of Myawady Township were welcomed back at a local battalion in Hlaingbwe Township on 14 May.
South-East Command Commander Brig-Gen Thura Zaw Lwin Soe, regional ministers, departmental officials, members of the Myanmar Police Force, war veterans, People’s Militia members and ethnic residents attended the ceremony.
Attendees welcomed the returning troops with victory garlands and traditional ethnic performances in recognition of their duties for regional peace, stability and public security.
The commander delivered a congratulatory speech and presented honorary cash awards to the returning personnel before joining them for a special lunch. — MNA/ KZL
