Frontline troops welcomed back after security duties




FRONTLINE Tatmadaw personnel who returned after carrying out se­curity duties and military activities in the Phalu and Minletpan areas of Myawady Township were welcomed back at a local battalion in Hlaingb­we Township on 14 May.


South-East Command Com­mander Brig-Gen Thura Zaw Lwin Soe, regional ministers, departmen­tal officials, members of the Myan­mar Police Force, war veterans, People’s Militia members and ethnic residents attended the ceremony.


Attendees welcomed the re­turning troops with victory garlands and traditional ethnic performanc­es in recognition of their duties for regional peace, stability and public security.


The commander delivered a congratulatory speech and pre­sented honorary cash awards to the returning personnel before joining them for a special lunch. — MNA/ KZL
