MoFA Union Minister receives Russian Ambassador to Myanmar

UNION Minister for Foreign Affairs U Tin Maung Swe re­ceived Mr Iskander Azizov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

They cordially exchanged views on preparations for the ASEAN-Russia Commemora­tive Summit to mark the 35^th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Relations in 2026 and the ad­vancement of ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership.

Furthermore, they also discussed ways to further strengthen the longstanding friendly relations and intensify cooperation in various sectors between Myanmar and the Rus­sian Federation. — MNA
