Mon State CM inspects development undertakings in Thaton Township




MON State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than inspected re­gional development works in Thaton yesterday morning.


He first visited a model rubber-based multi-crop plan­tation owned by U Nyi Soe Wai in Kyaikkaw Ward, Thuwun­nawati Town, where rubber is successfully cultivated along­side six cash crops including cocoa, mango, jackfruit, co­conut and durian, which are reported to be thriving as com­mercial plantations.


He also inspected the is­suance of citizenship scrutiny cards and UID registration under the Laminn project im­plemented by the Immigration and Population Ministry at the Pa-O National Hall in Naung­kala Village, Thaton Township.


Later, the Chief Minister visited Basic Education High School No 2 in Thaton to re­view preparations for school enrolment activities, and trav­elled by RBE-2524 from Tha­ton Station to Yinnyein Station to inspect ongoing upgrading works along the Thaton-Maw­lamyine railway section. — State IPRD/KZL
