Mon State CM inspects development undertakings in Thaton Township
MON State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than inspected regional development works in Thaton yesterday morning.
He first visited a model rubber-based multi-crop plantation owned by U Nyi Soe Wai in Kyaikkaw Ward, Thuwunnawati Town, where rubber is successfully cultivated alongside six cash crops including cocoa, mango, jackfruit, coconut and durian, which are reported to be thriving as commercial plantations.
He also inspected the issuance of citizenship scrutiny cards and UID registration under the Laminn project implemented by the Immigration and Population Ministry at the Pa-O National Hall in Naungkala Village, Thaton Township.
Later, the Chief Minister visited Basic Education High School No 2 in Thaton to review preparations for school enrolment activities, and travelled by RBE-2524 from Thaton Station to Yinnyein Station to inspect ongoing upgrading works along the Thaton-Mawlamyine railway section. — State IPRD/KZL
