President U Min Aung Hlaing visits NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance) in India
President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing, currently in New Delhi, India, on an official visit, accompanied by Union ministers, the Myanmar Ambassador to India, the Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) and officials, visited NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance) in Greater Noida yesterday afternoon.
On its arrival at NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance), the President and party were cordially welcomed by the Head of the company, Mr Gurdeep Singh, and officials.
At the company’s conference hall, the President and the Head of the Company exchanged commemorative gifts, and a company official presented an overview of the operations and work processes of NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance).
The President and party watched a documentary video clip on the work procedures of NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance). An official of the company clarified the efforts to reduce carbon emissions to net-zero levels, and NETRA’s activities aligned with energy transition plans, implementation of NTPC to improve CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) technology on a larger scale at NTPC Pudimadaka, green hydrogen production activities, developments in long-duration energy storage systems, water and water-resource technologies, solar energy systems, advanced scientific energy generation methods through NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance), and capacity-building programmes under ITEC to produce skilled Myanmar professionals.
The President observed scale models of the CO2-based closed Brayton Cycle Energy Storage System, Plasma Gasification-based Green Hydrogen Generation from MSW-RDF/ Agri-waste, 10 TPD Flue Gas-Co2 To Methanol Plant (FG-CTM), regarding the production of varieties of advanced scientific energy. The Head of the company and officials explained the necessary measures. The President asked what he wanted to know.
The President planted a commem orative tree to mark his visit to the company.
The President and party viewed the net-zero energy production process of NTPC. Officials explained generating electricity from solar power, battery storage systems, hydrogen-based energy generation, and electricity generation from municipal waste.
Concerning the clarification, the President interestingly asked what he wanted to know.
