PyinOoLwin Junior Open Golf Championship concludes
THE PyinOoLwin Junior Open Championship
(Road to Myanmar Junior National Team) concluded with its third-day
competitions and prize presentation ceremony on 4 May at the PyinOoLwin Golf
Course, according to the Myanmar Golf Federation.
The tournament was organized under the
guidance of the Myanmar Golf Federation and hosted by Junior Golf Myanmar
(JGM), with CB Bank as the main sponsor. The event aimed to develop emerging
junior golf talent in Myanmar.
During the ceremony, special prizes were
awarded, including cash awards for a hole-in-one achievement by Sett Naing
Aung, who received multiple sponsor-backed rewards.
In the junior categories, winners were
recognized across different age groups and divisions. In the Under-12 boys’ category,
Phone Myat Thaw secured first place. In the Under-14 girls’ category, Choi Hui
claimed the top position, while Hein Thant Thu won the Under-14 boys’ title.
In the Under-18 girls’ category, Cho
Thar Aung finished first, followed by Su Hnin Phyu in second place and Nan Seng
Awm Ngin in third.
In the Under-18 boys’ category, Sett
Naing Aung won the championship title, with Pyae Phyo Htut finishing second and
Pyae Sone Aung taking third place.
Organizers said the championship is part
of ongoing efforts to strengthen youth golf development and build future
