BAJAJ Auto, which distributes three-wheelers, says it has created more than 50,000 job opportunities, including in Myanmar’s short-distance transport sector and related small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Bajaj Auto showroom was opened at 9 am on 10 May 2020, on Anawrahta Road between the Western University roundabout and Yoegyi bus-stop in Htantabin Township, Yangon. The launching ceremony was held with the aim of creating job opportunities in the short-distance transportation and increasing household income.
The ceremony was attended by users of Bajaj Auto three-wheelers manufactured and assembled in Myanmar under the SKD system, as well as Taxi Gate officials, residents, businesspeople, and media representatives.
The showroom will display Bajaj Auto RE three-wheelers and will also provide spare parts, repair services, vehicle licensing assistance, and installment payment services.
In addition, customer service and after-sales services, free mechanic training, three-wheeler test-drive programmes, the WeGo Kilo Taxi Service, authorized agent application opportunities, and services related to the Yangon Region Transport Committee (YRTC) and the Yangon City Taxi Association (YCTA) will also be provided. The three-wheeled vehicles were introduced with the aim of distribution and sales, as well as providing comprehensive services. They are currently operating in townships approved under the systematic supervision of the YRTC and the YCTA. — Myo Min Thura/ TH
