UEC Chair leads biannual inspection, maintenance of election voting machines




UNION Election Commis­sion Chairman U Than Soe, together with Commission Member U Than Aung Kyaw and Nay Pyi Taw Council members Colonel Ye Moe and U Khin Maung Latt, inspected the maintenance and six-monthly inspections of electronic voting machines (MEVMs) used in eight town­ships of the Nay Pyi Taw Un­ion Territory during the 2025 general election, yesterday afternoon.


The Chairman reviewed the examinations, findings and repairs of the Myanmar electronic voting machines used in the 2025 general elec­tion, carried out by officials and technicians from the relevant Election Commis­sion branches in the eight townships of the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.


He instructed that the voting machines are con­trolled items and should be stored and maintained sys­tematically to prevent dam­age, with careful attention paid to regular six-monthly inspections. — MNA/MKKS
