MHFTSA, EFIG Insurance sign MoU

IN a new chapter of stra­tegic partnership focused on workplace safety and long-term development, the Myanmar Highway Freight Transport Servic­es Association (MHFTSA) and EFIG Insurance, one of Myanmar’s leading in­surance companies, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU signed on 9 June is dedicated to sup­porting the association’s members, vehicle owners, and terminal operators.

The two organizations will collaborate to provide services across three key sectors: General Insur­ance–comprehensive safe­ty for heavy cargo vehicles within the workplace; Ma­rine & Inland Transit In­surance– the safe transit of goods throughout the journey; Life Insurance– long-term security for the members, staff, and their families.

MHFTSA and EFIG Insurance will also or­ganize regular “Insur­ance Knowledge Sharing Workshops” to help mem­bers better understand the benefits of insurance and the procedures for filing claims.

MHFTSA stated that it will continue to foster such strategic partner­ships and educational in­itiatives to ensure a more robust, safe business net­work for its members. — MT/ZN
