MoE UM attends Global Sustainable Development Congress in Jakarta

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein departed from Yangon on 22 June to at­tend the Global Sustain­able Development Con­gress 2026 (GSDC 2026) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The congress fea­tured panel discussions, while international uni­versities and educational institutions showcased their activities through exhibition booths.

During the congress, Union Minister Dr Chaw Chaw Sein participated in a discussion on the theme “Building Future Devel­opment by Cultivating Skilled Educators”. She emphasized that Myan­mar is striving to provide quality, skills-based edu­cation and that, as edu­cation is the foundation of national development, the education budget is being increased to cul­tivate highly skilled and qualified educators. — MNA/MKKS
