Free Carpentry and Masonry Course Opens in Tanai Township

A free carpentry and
masonry training course aimed at creating skilled workers and expanding
employment opportunities for rural residents opened on Wednesday at the office
of the Township Department of Rural Development in Tanai Township, Kachin
State.
The opening ceremony
featured addresses by State Hluttaw Representative U Kaung Sai La and Deputy
Township Administrator U Zin Min Htet. A staff officer from the Township
Department of Rural Development outlined the objectives of the course, after
which trainees introduced themselves.
Course instructors then
briefed participants on the training programme, while departmental officials
distributed learning materials and equipment for the course.
The 20-day course is
being attended by 20 trainees from Josadi, Mine Khun and Lamone villages in
Tanai Township. The free training includes both classroom lessons and practical
sessions in carpentry and masonry to help participants develop vocational
