MNHRC and ICRC meet

COMMISSION Mem­ber Dr Swe Swe Aung of the Myanmar Na­tional Human Rights Commission, along with Deputy Direc­tor-General Dr Khine Khine Win, Directors U Thura Kyaw and U Ze­yar Linn met the dele­gation from the Inter­national Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), led by Protection Coor­dinator Mr Sebastien Bole Besancon. The meeting took place at the Commission’s Call Room yesterday.

The discussions were mainly focused on the Commission’s ongoing activities re­lating to the promo­tion and protection of human rights, the ICRC operations, and potential areas of co­operation between the two institutions. — MNHRC
