MPT trains around 3,000 engineering students through workplace learning programme

MPT has trained around 3,000 students through its workplace learning and training programme, which aims to help engineering students apply their theoretical knowledge in real working environments, according to the company’s head office in Yangon.

From April to June this year alone, 82 final-year students from 11 technological universities across six regions and states took part in the programme, which was launched in 2018.

MPT said the initiative aims to nurture young engineers and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry experience, helping students prepare for careers in the telecommunications sector.

The programme also provides free e-learning resources for young people through MPT’s online education platform, which is accessible via its official website, mobile app and chatbot services.

A final-year student from West Yangon Technological University who took part in the programme said the internship had given her a practical understanding of network systems beyond classroom learning, boosting her confidence as she prepares to enter the workforce. — Oktha/KZL
