Myanmar Showcases Culture at Hong Kong Book Fair
MYANMAR participated in the World of Art & Culture pavilion at the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 15 to 21 July, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The fair was organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. At the opening ceremony, the Council’s Chairman, Professor Frederick Ma, delivered the welcome address, while Acting Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, delivered the opening remarks.
The Myanmar Consulate-General showcased books and publications on Myanmar lacquerware, agriculture, investment opportunities, special economic zones and consumer protection laws, along with brochures promoting the country’s tourism, traditional cuisine and festivals. — ASH/KNN
